Title: Process for preparing blown vegetable oil

Abstract: A method for partially refining a crude vegetable oil utilizing physical refining techniques is described. The crude vegetable
oil is first degummed by either (1) allowing the crude oil to settle over a period of time, such as twenty days, so that the oil becomes stratified into at least two layers, wherein one layer comprises gums with low oil content and a second layer comprises oil containing only a fraction of the gums originally present and then separating the oil layer from the gum layer, or (2) heating the crude oil to a temperature of about 270-300° F. with agitation and then allowing the crude oil to settle for a period of time until the oil becomes
stratified into the at least two layers. The degummed oil is then aerated and agitated while being maintained at a temperature of 170-180° F. for a time period sufficient to obtain a desired oil viscosity. The resulting partially refined oil is suitable for use in industrial applications such as the preparation of urethane foams.

Abstract: Disclosed are a fat composition and methods for preparing the fat composition. The fat composition comprises (a) 10 to 95% by weight of a triglyceride in which palmitic acid or stearic acid is bonded in the 2-position and is present in an amount of 25 to 95% by weight with respect to the weight of constituent fatty acids, (b) 4.5 to 80% by weight of a triglyceride in which medium-chain fatty acids are bonded in the 1,3-positions and are present in an amount of 1 to 50% by weight with respect to the weight of constituent fatty acids, and (c) 0.1 to 85% by weight of a diglyceride in which unsaturated fatty acids are bonded in the 1,2-positions or 1,3-positions and are present in an amount of 30 to 95% by weight with respect to the weight of constituent fatty
acids.

Title: EDIBLE PRODUCTS WITH LOW CONTENT OF SATURATED AND TRANS UNSATURATED FATS

Abstract: The present invention relates to a structured, fat continuous edible product, wherein the edible product contains, expressed on total product basis, less than 35 wt. % of saturated fatty acids, between 20 and 100 wt. % of a triglyceride composition, between 0 and 80 wt. % of a filler material and less than 15 wt. % of water. The triglyceride composition contains less than 50 wt. % of saturated fatty acids, less than 10 wt. % of trans unsaturated fatty acids, at least 10 wt. % of POP triglycerides, wherein P is a palmitic fatty acid, O is oleic acid, a ratio SUS/SUU of at least 1.3, a ratio SUS/S3 of at least 15, at least 90 wt. % of C8-18 fatty acids, a ratio C16/C18 saturated fatty acids of at least 1. The triglyceride composition has an SFC at 20°C of between 3 and 55%. The present invention also relates to a process for producing such a product and to triglyceride compositions suitable for use in such a product.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method (1) of adapting a marine vessel to perform a variety of functions including intake of palm oil or raw palm seeds for onboard refining and processing into finished products for eventual distribution. Various applications of the vessel ballast system are also disclosed; the (2) ballast system of the vessel is further deployed as a means to implement water flooding and enhanced oil recovery of an offshore oil reservoir. The vessel (3) is also adapted to a seeding, cultivation and harvesting system for agriculture production of various crops and biomass (implemented using techniques such as hydroponics), and in another method (4) disclosed, the vessel is deployed as a fish farm with the ability to simultaneously cultivate saline and fresh fish species. Title: Process of regeneration of exhausted vegetable oil

Abstract: 1. The process provides to eliminate from vegetable cooking oil the combustion inhibitors, in particular antioxidant components, and to increase its higher heat value. 2. The regeneration is done by mixing exhausted vegetable oil with zeolite cabasitico-phillipsitica by ionic exchange process and by surface absorption process.The zeolitite is a pyroclastic rock containing a zeolite value not below 50% by weight. 3. The zeolitite jointly used for the regeneration process are cabasite and phillipsite in no
binding percentage. 4. The purpose of the regeneration process is the use of exhausted vegetable oil as renewable power source to produce energy. In addition to the economic benefit there is an advantage in the treatment of polluting elements avoiding environment damages.
